LR became green in color under AC14K

Recently I purchased a 250W MH running AC14K bulb. After a few week, I found that the color of the LR (facing light) becomes green when MH is off. When it is on, the color of the LR does not show any green color. The LR not facing light is not green in color.

Does the green color mean algae, or high level of phosphate?

I have been using PO4-minus and Salifert PO4 test kit always show a value of 0 (I know Salifert PO4 test kit is not that reliable)...

Please kindly advise.

is it hairy or encrusted... what lighting did you have before.... It could be coraline growing and it could also be an algea bloom from more light.... if it is a bloom it should go away.

what lighting are you using to see the green if the aq are off?

i run them, i love them, i only hate that they are so hard to find and expensive.

It is not hairy. It is not encrusted just like normal coralline as well. It seems to me it is just color change in LR. So I am think whether it would be caused by PO4.

Energy saving bulb which is yellow in color. Maybe of color temperature 2000K to 3000K (I am not sure)?

I was using 6x39W T5HO (3 blue+ and 3 AB Special) over my 3" tank. I switched to a 2" tank and changed my light to MH bulb.

Also I note that the purple coralline algae facing the MH bulb is dying. Maybe the light is too strong?
