LR Placement help

Any ideas to help with my rock placement? It's brand new for me!

that's good like that---you have a lot of spaces for fish to hide in and appears there is room behind the reef for the flow of water.

set the aqua scape up the way that you like it, everyone has a different idea of what looks good or bad to them, however from experience I would keep the rock off the sides of the viewing areas just far enough to be able to clean with magnet or scraper. It looks like the rocks are a little close on the sides to the glass, other than that if your aqua scape is pleasing to your eyes, go for it, good luck. :)

You want holes for the fish to swim through, but you will also want lots of caves. This is where the fish will find their sleeping & safe zone. They need a place to go if they feel threatend or just sleep.

You have a great start going. Remember....going slow over time will make an awesome looking tank.

Happy Reefin

Cool, I read having a minimum amount of LR touching the bottom of the tank is best for cleaning, and I have puffers which are messy eaters, so that's the look I was going for.

I was thinking of changing it around a bit to more of a semi circle, but I'll have to see how it holds up once I've got the powerheads in.

Does anyone have pics where you can see the placement of the rock for ideas?

The best thing to do would be to look through the forums for other people's build threads.

Are the rocks glued together? If not you may want to get some epoxy and do so. We don't need a rockslide.

Heres my set up
