LT plate coral won't eat anymore

I've had this purple long tentacle plate coral for almost 2 years now and he would always accept shrimp whenever i would feed him (about once/week). A couple of weeks ago he stopped accepting anything & would just let offering roll off him, basically retracting his tentacles until the food fell by the wayside. He's not showing any other signs of distress ....

anyone got any ideas? should I be worried?

If you are feeding him a shrimp every week, poor guy probably hates shrimp by now lol. If it's still looking plump/fluffy then I would not worry at all. I would recommend brs reef chili, cyclops eeze, or reef roids if your looking to mix things up a bit.

Yes they typically don't get large chunks in the wild and would try a piece of silverside maybe once a month if that.

understood. I wouldn't feed anything in my tank silversides since it is not controlled as a food grade product. Therefore it could contain any number of harmful parasites, etc ....

The biggest I feed comes out of the LRS frozen packs. Not sure what it all is, but the fish and coral love it.

yeah, i got ahold of this beautiful long tentacle green anemone once, about 9" across and feed him some silversides before i knew about them .... he disappeared abut a week later never to be seen again. can't confirm it was that but i don't believe in coincidences either ....
i've got plenty of Rod's i can try too. how about mysis?

Mysis is fine. I used to feed mine small bay shrimp I would get at the supermarket once every two weeks or so. A chunk about the size of a pea and the coral was good to go.
