I recently got a LTA. I have had a cleaner shrimp in my tank for close to a year now. He has always had the same spot on the underside of a big rock mostly hidden from view.
Once the LTA went in, the next day he parked himself out in the open on a rock right next to my LTA. He doesnt seem to touch it.
In the past I had a condy that he would play with touching it with his antennas, this one he just sits next to and seems to gaurd it.
Is this normal? Are Cleaners kind of link Clowns with anemones
Also I have a mated pair of ocelaris clowns. I have gone through two anemones that they havent touched. This being the third and they still havent. The first I didnt expect them too. It was a Condy. I gave that away because it wouldnt stay still. The second was a green carpet and was an uneducated impulse buy that died. They never touched that while it was alive. This third one (the LTA) is doing great but they havent touched it either.
They dont have anything that they are really hosting. They sleep by my spray bar but thats about it. Is it hopeless for them to take to an anemone?
