LTA Appearance

Don't want to say never, but I have never personally witnessed it -- have been keeping anemones (( LTA's included )) for the past 15+ years. I have seen some BTAs (( E. Quadricolors )) that have long tentacles and could be confused with an LTA if one didn't know better.

I ask because a friend gave me an LTA some time ago. It has never gone into the sand bed, likes the rock. (I am running a 150w MH over a 40 breeder with pc's.) This anemone will at times have bubble tips on many of its tentacles. Gets me to wondering. I am also almost positive my friend told me this nem was the product of his oringinal splitting...I don't believe LTA's split.

my purple lta never bubbled, just curly tentacles. if it split then its a bta cause i dont think that lta's can split themselves. i could be wrong though.
