I finally decided to go with an LTA (Macrodactyla doreensis), based on advice here....in hopes that once settled, it won't wander, and will host Pink Skunks.
I got a nice one two days ago, and prepared the perfect spot for it. Close to two pieces of LR, if it decides to root under them, and a clam shell buried about 2" under the sand (Aragamax) just in case. Medium/low flow, just enough to make its tentacles move.
No, this is not one of those "wandering 'nem" stories...in fact, it's stayed exactly where I wanted it, has expanded greatly, and has been greedily taking mysis, even on the first day it was in my tank.
BUT (and I do have a big but), it has shown no inclination whatsoever to root itself. I can still see the base of the foot, and no signs that it's going to anchor itself in the substrate.
Any advice? I suspect I should just be patient, but any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thx,
