LTA glows green?

Just today my LTA started glowing green on the oral disk and at the base on the tentecles. I have attached a picture but you can't see it. The glow is only under my blue light but it never did it before.

Why the sudden glow?

Does he shrivel up under the blue light at all. my GBT sometimes likes to shrink up under the blue a little bit and he turns a bright neon green.

LOL!!! That's cuz it's bleached. Normally most LTAs are flourescent green, at least partially. Yours is getting healthier!

I don't think the anemone is bleached from what it looks like in the first pic. LTAs, RBTAs, BTAs all can have an iridescent green cast in the right light. In fact, often when an anemone has developed a rich, dark color one can see that green cast under just the right lighting and angle.

A white, bleached anemone can look neon green because of its natural pigmentation. However, I don't think that's the case with this LTA.

Fair enough. I've never seen a light brown LTA that was healthy but I'm definitely not an expert. I was going off my experiences with BTAs and sebaes. Whenever I got one that color it always turned into a glowing, different color over time.

Thanks for the info. As to the bleached not bleached thing. I don't know if this helps but the foot isn't red. It use to be a very light pink at the very bottom and is now pink higher up on the foot but it isn't red. Bradley, it would sure be cool if it did end up green, or really any color besides light brown.

Hey my LTA glows like crazy now its a big boy lol..... But it is its zoolanthe that is glowing and means that urs is starting to produce a better color... Just wait until it actually takes a color. Mine displays two different hues a gorgeous royal blue and beautiful emerald green :)

Here are some pics :)

Here is the best one to show it glowing and this is with a flash and its nestled up :)

This shows its normal color which you can kinda see the blue green color at the base of the tents.

It is abt 12 in across and those were taken a few months ago. The colors have moved up its tents. So maybe that gives you some hope...
