Does anyone have any good ideas on how to move my LTA who has decided to cram itself under a back ledge of LR? Aside from removing most of my water and hanging inside of my 40 gallon tall tank?
I tried increasing the flow. I have a shallow sand bed, and it's now glass around it. Still there. I think it's as stubborn as I am. Guess I'm going to have to wait it out.
You have an LTA and a shallow sand bed? You do not have the proper setup for an LTA as they require 4"+ sand beds. I would even venture to say the reason it is trapped in the rocks is because it floated in there due to not being attached to anything, I'd also say it's not attached currently inside the rockwork and could be going downhill fast. You need to either add more sand or return it once you take your rock work apart and get it out.
I gave in and tickled him out from under the back rock. Stubborn little cuss. He is now sitting in a 4 inch deep tupperware container filled with sand and a few pieces of rock to keep him in place until he settles down. I have both fans off until he settles. He's definitely grumpy right now. One step stool, soaked t-shirt and very wet long hair. Hmph!
