LTA is committing suicide

got a long tentacle about 4-5 mths ago. was doing fine. moved around a bit, only a few inches here or there. About a mth ago it went under a rock and stayed there for about a week. when it came out it is bleaching. not completely white, it still has some color, just not as much. I was feeding it 2-3 times a week. I have 150w MH runs from 11am to 5 pm. 4 bulb T-5 with one Actinic, 1 20k, 2 15k; 39 w each. They are on from 8am to 8pm.
Water params
1.025, 76 degrees, amo 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 10 -15, cal 500, ka 11
Seems he lost color cause it was out of the light for so long. maybe he was out of the light for some other reason. My coral banded messed with it for about 2 hours after I first put it in, then never bother it again. I have 1 occellaris, 1 firefish, 1 blue-green chromis, 1 lawnmomer (that i see once a month).
Any ideas

he has only moved originally when i first put him in there. I put it in the open, and it moved to a semi shaded, secluded spot. It was still basically in the open, just a small overhang with a little shade. It only had to move about 4 inches to completely shade itself. It did that about a month ago and hasnt come out but once, and is bleaching. Hard to feed also. The fish and shrimp don't ever bother it. I'm not sure my clown even knows its in there (I'm sure it does from chemical signals, thats just how uninterested it is hosting it)

Every LTA I've had did not really like strong light all the time, and they all stayed put if I put them by a ledge as you described.
Seems they like to pull in or stretch out as needed.
W/ MH and T5 it's very possible you gave it more light than what it was accustomed to, especially out in the open.
Leave it where it is, and maybe feed some mysis once or twice a week.
If your tank is established and params in check it could bounce back.
