LTA let go...

I checked my tank this morning to find a hole where my LTA (M. Doreensis) was last night and my clowns bobbing in place seemingly wondering what happened. I guess it let go at some point in the night and got blown about halfway across the tank, I can see it sitting in a cave in the back of the tank, I cant imagine it'll get too much light in there, I'm just not sure what to do at the moment. It appears undamaged. Its been in my tank for 6 weeks and hasn't moved more than a few inches from where I put it to where it has been for the last few weeks. Its color is fantastic, bright neon green pedal with brown tentacles, nice and dark, I fed it some mysis 2 days ago and it was instant in its reaction.
Should I just leave it be for the time being and see if it moves itself into the light? Or try and fish it out (which is going to take the moving of a few rocks in order to get at it), then replant it in the sand?

I would leave it be, if it isn't getting enought light where it is at, it will move on it's own. It will likely continue to move until it find the "perfect" spot. And it may even move on occasion after that.

Yeah, I just tried waving a hand at it to see if it was loose and its re-attached itself to something, so I'm just going to let it do its thing.

If it's unhappy it will most likely un-attach after the lights turn off tonight. Mine always moved at night until it settled into a spot it liked.

it will move to were it need to.i no how frustrating it is you want to do it youreself but in my experience if you do move it they go right back .give it time.i put a piece of pvc in the sand the kind with one side widder then the other i put the thin side down and wide side up.i also find out were the par is highest on sand bed then i place the lta in the hole and add sand to fill in sides and cover lightly.dont worry about covering it you can do it or not but lta's can burry themselves completly when scared my 4 have once twice.this helps them attach to bottom of tank.this has worked with all my lta not one ever going on walk about and the oldest one is 11 years in my care and i no evryone will say they dont split but they do and he has a couple times he is also over 19 inches and that is when he does it so im thinking it will be comming soon again and i will document it.gl
