If you had no idea, why give advice, which in this case turned out to be wrong. What if you had bought an LTA and it was sold as a BTA, but someone told you it was a BTA, and you kept it under inadequate lighting until it died. I understand that you are new to this hobby and was trying to help, and in no way am I trying to insult you or diss you, I'm just saying if you

had no idea

what it was, then don't add your opinion, and leave it up to the experts or more experienced! :thumbsup:

I have never heard of an LTA (( M. doreensis )) splitting, but it is fairly common with BTAs (( E. Quadricolor )).

99.9% sure it is an E Quadricolor (( BTA )), and if the underside of the oral disc is smooth, then make it 100%.
