lta taking too long to eat my fish

I got a lta about 2 weeks ago, and a host clown. He is usually puffy and looks fairly healthy. He found his 'spot' the first night I introduced him and hasn't moved since, however he has yet to attatch himself to anything. I just noticed my yellow tail Fiji damsel was missing and sadly found it inside the lta... All the posts I've read said say the lta balls up while consuming fish then spits out the bones but he's not balled up, and it doesn't even seems the fish is in his mouth, but just laying on top of it for a few hours now.
My question is how long should I leave the fish there, before I attempt to confiscate it from him? Im worried about it affecting my water quality.
Thanks!

Anemones consume food quite quickly. If it's been more than 5 minutes it isnt going to consume it, just remove the damsel.

yes anemones can sting, some more so than others but on a LTA I wouldn't worry to much about getting injured unless you have very sensitive hands, you really should get some rubber or plastic gloves though when working inside the tank, there are other things that can cause more harm than the anemone.

"attach to anything" ? It is LTA, sand anemone.
Damsel can be quite big for small LTA as well.
Some photos and we can help, but from info u provided hard to tell.
Also from your registration date, mby the tank is too young for anemone.
Water parameters ?
