Lubbock Wrasse Bully

I have had a Lubbock Wrasse for awhile now. Several months ago I purchased a small little wrasse that was rose colored with a small black dot on her tail. I thought she was a yellow finned fairy wrasse. I have discovered she was a juvenile Lubbock Wrasse. She is not as brightly colored as my first one. Anyway yesterday I discovered the older one in a corner, looking terrified. He has been swimming a little since then but mostly hides in the upper coners near my returns. I feel bad but why are they fighting and showing dominance now? Anyway if I have to move him can I place him in my 30 gallon with 2 clowns and an anemone? I am hoping things calm down. Suggestions?

We have similar wrasses collection. The Lubbock Wrasse is my tank was bully new yellow finned fairy wrasse I put in. I fish trapped the lubbock and put it in the sump (15 gallon w/ sand and cheatos) for 4 weeks, no problem. It sleeps in the sand most of time. only surface when feeding time. At the same time the yellow finned is adopt to the tank condition. After a month, I put it back to main tank and both wrasses are co-exist now.

seems odd to me that the female is the aggressor. not normal, are you sure of the sex of the two? post pics of both of them, would help us in giving a solution to the problem, trap the presumed female and put her in the sump or in a qt tank for a few days then reintroduce. should work fine. if not return for store credit if you are in love with the lubbock. does the male look super stressed all day? i had one not do too well in my system would hide up at the top near his final days.

I am only guessing the lighter colored wrasse is the female. The bullied one is swimming around a little more today so maybe things are calming down...time will tell. I am afraid of taking one of the aggressor out because I am (pretty sure) I have a whipfin wrasse and he has been aggressive in the past. I took him out for about 1 month and reintroduced and he has been a gentleman ever since. I am afraid if I take one out I'll have the first problem again. If this harassment continues I'll have to take the aggressor out (what fun) and try a little down time. I try to post pictures but they don't photograph easily. Thanks for the advice.
