Lugols dip after fragging

IMHO it really isnt necessary. More potential to do harm than good. Kinda the 'if it aint broken, dont fix it..' metaphore. For disinfecting purposes the instructions come with it. Out of the hundreds of frags Ive made, have never had a problem with infection as long as your conscious of cross contamination, and keep clean hands and work surface. Only time Ive come across infection was inadvertant allopathy between inhabitants, but all through natural chanels and not through fragmentation. Just another side to consider

That's not necesarily a bad idea. Upon transit lps are prone to tissue damage and can get infected if were to sit in the container for too long, and the dip is a good measure against infection. But this practice does not necessarily transfer over to fragmentation, in terms of safe or sorry.
The need to fight infection is alot lower just coming from out of your own display as the water for all intense and purposes should be clean for the most part.
I have personally been "sorry" for using Lugols on several occasions of the handfull of times used. That's why Im speaking up, not that my way is the only way, but caution should be used any time iodine is used on coral. It's very powerful stuff, and more often than not, misused.

My tank and corals are very healthy so I think I'll use caution and not dip. If a problem develops, I can always do it after the fact. I'm just a little nervous cutting into the fleshy polyps of my LPS for the first time. I have micros, lords, echinatas, and various faviid colonies to frag. I'll try a couple first to see how it goes before taking the Dremel to all of them.
