Lumen Max 3 vs Reef Optix 3

Which one is better? WHy? I remember seeing a report on it but I cant retrieve the website that had it.

lumenmax 3 will give you a much better spread

The Lumenmax does give better spread, however the Reef Optix 3 will give you more PAR straight down in a smaller area, considering all other things equal. My rule of thumb as far as what to use is if it's an 18" front to back tank the ROIII is the way to go, 24" it's almost a wash and more dependent upon the aquascape, and 30" and over the Lumenmax would be more beneficial. HTH.
