lumps on a mandarin fish

I picked up a mandarin 3 days ago and he now has translucent lumps about 1mm in size covering his body. I suspect that it is Ich, but I thought the lumps from Ich are more whitish. Is this Ich? Can I cure him by making the QT tank hyposaline? If so, does anyone have any suggestions about how to feed him pods in hyposaline water?

Ich isn't impossible with Mandarins, just unlikely. I'd hate to give you any advice here w/o seeing a pic. Cuz I'm not 100% convinced this is Ich (based on your description).
