Lunar Eclipse/ X-men

This seems to be a Paly that is certain to morph once in captivity. Mine are certainly developing a more of a mottled appearance as time goes on. I'm curiour what they look like in other peoples tanks after being in there for at least a couple months. Also, what type of lighting people are using and where they are in relation to the light.

Heres mine under T-5 lights for about a month and a half. I also have a new one sprouting.

You can see mine in the second pic down... They were under 150w MH's in the pic... I didn't like the way they were coloring up, so now I've moved them under VHO's...

I think they like lower light.

Frags up high seem to remain very small and "squint" at the light. They maintain there bright pink/orange fringe. But grow slow.

When I placed them lower in the tank they went nutz. The grew larger and started to spread. However the lashes seem to dull down a little but they are still amazing looking.


I am running 250w 10ks.

I've got mine in a somewhat shaded area now and they look happier and are spreading nicely. I hope the light colored speckles they have aquired color up into something else. Once I frag tghem I think I'm going to blast one with light to compare the difference over time.

This pic makes em look a lot lighter than they really are since this is with full lights and a flash.

Forgot to mention this is under 6xT5s with IC reflectors, they were midway up until a week or two ago and are now on the bottom with a bit of shade.

These are at the bottom of my tank. They are under XM 20K 250w bulbs.

I have these as well not sure if they are similiar though.
