The dj switches controll all my QT tanks and my booster pump for my ro/do...and for the record, the booster pump is the single best improvement I have purchased...produces water faster, less waste water and I have had to change out media at about half the rate.....
doser: Im embarrassed to say I haven't set it up other than to turn it on and put the date and time in. I dose Kalk using the ATO...the only thing I put in is baking soda once a week but I have been doing it manually on the weekend....its next on the list to set up.....
My friends all ask why I dont get some meds for my insomnia....I think everyone should GO on meds to be an insomniac... I get more done from midnight till 5 a.m. than any other time of the day.....so last night.....
Found this at HD for $7....i put my macro algae light on it....
starting to clean up some wire/tube work that was driving me nuts.
Mounted a white 2x4 above the sump to get the cansister filters to clear the lip.... raised the canister filters (gfo and carbon) out of the water; changed the tubing to 1/2 and then rate it through a new UV for the gold tank. The UV will be on a timer to come on during the night...I dont want it on full time like the FOWLR tanks is.....
I had a problem with my ATO. My water tanks are 8' high and when filled to the top they would steadily drip even after the ATO would shut off because the sumps are only 5' high...they basically were siphoning themselves with slow drips into the sump when the water level in the water tanks would be too high. The dripping would only stop if the water tank level fell under 7' no matter what I tried. So I mounted the return line from the AT0 to about 8'6" and then built a simple 1/2 pvc pipe to deliver the water the rest of the way. The ATO line end point stops right at the top of the PVC and is now higher than the water tanks.....
lastly, I put a cheap power head in both of the sump entry points. Debris will pile up over time so I would manually drop a PH into the area and leave it on for an hour to get the debris in movement and then filtered out. So I hooked up my new dandy timer to come on every day for 15 minutes.... the power head is not mounted so it slowly moves around like a hose in a swimming pool when it is on.....its working great...
