Lymphocystis

My fish has been in quarantine for a bit over 2 weeks now. I put him in there when I bought him and thought he had ich. I started hypo on the second day and he has been in it ever since. There were white spots on his side fins.

I noticed it wasn't dropping off despite his time and yesterday noticed that it is not ich. It appears he has Lymphocystis.

Everywhere I've read about this virus i've read that it goes away on it's own. If I keep the fish in QT for an additional 2 weeks (4 weeks total) to make sure he doesn't have ich can I introduce him to the display?

My display has a fish in there with the same disease right now. My false perc has it and it seems to be getting better. I think it migh tbe the fish store because this will be 2 fish that I've bought that came down with this disease.

If it is Lymphocystis and only Lymphocystis, there is likely little risk in introducing the fish to the display once it clears quarantine.
