Lyretail Anthias Harem + Flame angel / Qt tank

So i just got a batch of 3 female and 1 male i 5months all reefer and trying to play by the book this mean qt fish right? i dont like qt i belive it stress more but then i read a comment that if the fish can do a qt i just dont deserve to be in the dt ..

I will be posting how this batch come of .

The qt is a 30 gallon with a aqueon 500 power head a 20 G aquaclear with just a bag of carbon and a quiet flow with out media just some zeo rocks for bacteria (not to lower amonia)

there is a big rock that has been a couple of weeks in the dt and some pvc . And a cheeto mmm yeah no reason i just put it there .

Do daily dose of 5ml of ATM bacteria / Comments

Feeding with mysis and planckton and new life ultra red pellets sock in selcon, vitachem and garlick guard ( prefere the brightwelll garlick ) this i do 2 times a day


Should i take out the algea ?? - will it become toxic if if i start to med

also i have a flame angel there , this is my second try a lost the battle against popeye eye

I just finished QTing my 3 lyertail anthias (1M - 2F). I like putting them through QT, at least to get them adjusted to eating prepared foods without any competition. They are doing great in the DT. I just had a few pieces of PVC and some rocks. They would hide under the rocks or in the pipes. Sounds like you're all set.

Falconut. Great u got your lyartail. On good shape. How much and with what did you feed then Trough qt
Did you treat them with meds?
Have you use melefix. Whats you opinión

Only med I used was prazipro, the males eye looked cloudy. After 1 day of prazipro, it was clear. I fed them frozen mysis & brine. Never tied melefix, so no opinion.

How much mysis ? im doing one or two frozen cubes but they are eating everything 4 antheas and 1 flame ángel
