Lyretail anthias Popeye

My lyretail anthias has this in a matter of one day. I didn't notice out of the ordinary yesterday. Today upon feeding I noticed a bulging eye. I placed him jn the tank about 2 weeks ago with the female, havent notices any horseplay between them. only 2 fish in tank. I have read that it can go away after a few weeks. What do you think?

I just picked up the same fish and am having the same issue. That is how I came across your post. Did you ever figure out what happened? is the fish ok still?
