What are people's experience with these things?

potentially irritable... sometimes doesn't play nice with others. Pretty much on par with other hogfish. I had one cause some conflict in a 900gl a few years back... quick to go for a hook which is a plus!

Hm, bummer. How big did yours get?

didn't get a chance to grow as it only lasted in the tank 3 weeks... came in WC around 10-12". Were you thinking of trying one in a reef?

Uh yeah....are we talking about the same fish? I thought this thing maxed out around 5".....

Same fish! Maybe my memory is shot but I don't remember it being that small. Definately not 5"!
