Lyretail vs pink anthias?

Ok i'm a bit confused. Are Lyretail anthias the same thing as pink anthias. I currently have a group of Lyretail anthias in my tank, and saw 3 very nice looking pink anthias in the store. Was tempted on buying, but needed research before the buy. Are they the same species or different kind of species. Just don't want a royal rumble brawl.

Looks like this guy, but all pink not orange/red. The seller at the LFS called them pink anthias. I asked if they were lyretails, he said no. To me physically they are lyretails but just pink. Now, my question is do Lyretails come in pink color as well instead of red/dark orange.

Is a male lyretail anthias. Males are pink and females are orange. I would say your LFS is run buy idiots. Do some reading on them and you will understand. They are different between male and female.

gotcha..

nice info.. I will pass it along to the LFS. I was certain they were lyretails because they look identical to mine except they were bright pink. Unfortunately the LFS had 2 male large Lyretail ( LFS called them pink anthias), so I would not be adding them to my tank because my tank already has a red male dominant Lyretail and a fight will be certain.

Another question, is it possible to house 2 seperate species of anthias together? Forexample Lyretails and bartletts?
