I will check, but there should be rooms available at the Westin Oaks as well.

we made reservations at the residence inn (marriot) about a block from the galleria. I actually called around last night. The sheraton has no rooms avail in the block. When I called the Westin Oaks this rude man said I had missed the cutoff date to order my room. That if I wanted to place reservations I would not be eligible for group rates and the room rate would be 269!!!! a night. Which is complete BS! the website for the westin has the rooms listed int he 170 a night range, but even that is ridiculous. Like I said I was so frustrated we went ahead and booked a room at the Residence Inn @ 119 a night. Screw those folks at the westin. If you CAN get us the correct rate at the westin let us know though ;-) It looks like a very nice hotel.

I have already requested for the extended block. Hopefully they will get it updated today.

I also asked for the Sheraton to add more rooms to their block, which they had added yesterday or the day before.

Unforuntately the blocks were supposed to expire at the end of August and we have requested extensions many times. Luckily they are extending since Wal-Mart didn't meet their block, but I don't know if they will keep extending it being that we are so close to the conference.

It looks like the block at the Westin has ended. Unfortunately it is out of my control being that we are only a few days away. I am not sure if the Sheraton is still working though.

It looks like the Sheraton is still giving a discount of $129 for single kings and $149 for double queens. I would jump on that while you can. For some reason it lists the rate has expired, but it still gives us the rate.

The Westin has expired and there is nothing I can do about it.
