I am getting excited about going to Macna. Trying to get the wife to go to the evening events. She wants to know what the dress code is and what type of function ? Is it sit down or walk around? Any speakers? Thanks

Friday is a walk around reception, open air with buffet, live entertainment, extended to an indoor club for the party animals (dress casual); Saturday is a full sit down dinner in one of the halls (semi-formal). This dress code is very flexible because some people do not have time to change before the events but as a general rule I would say Friday casual and Saturday Semi-formal.

Full conference pass includes these events; at registration you will get a package that will include tickets or wrist bands to enter the reception and dinner. If you do not get these then you just have a three day pass not full conference.

All the speakers will be present at both functions to mingle with the attendees; however only the key note speaker (Ichthyologist Richard Pyle) will do a presentation at the Saturday dinner, along with MASNA awards and the official announcement of next year’s MACNA.

PS normally you will find goodies from the banquet sponsor at the table.
