So next Friday will be my first saltwater convention, and the families really looking forward to it. I'll be on the lookout for some rare corals that Ive only seen online. So here's my wish list:

1. Orange nepthea
2. Jedi mind trick monti
3. Some of those sick zoas that Paul has been posting on Facebook
4. Purple hairy mushrooms
5. Seasons greetings monti or chili pepper monti
6. Something for my kids babysitter(you know who you are)

I think that's it for now, but who knows what will catch my eye.

Keep your eyes open. There will be an enormous amount of great specimens at this conference.

Dumb question.... how do you get them home? Will they hold the coral for you untill your ready to head back to Ok? Or do they ship it to you?

If I were you- I would take a styrofoam cooler with you. If you are going home the same day you buy, then have the coral bagged and carry it with you, put it in the cooler and you are good. Corals do fine in bags for upto 24hrs with no issues.

If you buy and are not leaving that day- then ask the vendor to hold the corals for you.

Also save your money till the last day(unless it is a honest one of a kind coral).....The deals get WAY better as no one wants to ship/pack corals home !!
Wish I was going but we have a ton of other things with our kids that were planned before I was told of the dates of the events!

MACNA was awesome. I could of spent so much more time, but the kids wouldnt cooperate. Regardless, I picked up 4 new frags from zoanthids.com booth.
