macro algae

cheato or caulerpa? i have a small refug.(8"x10"x4") on a 30g. just wondering if there is any advantage one vs the other in a small space. i've used cheato in the past but it grows so darn fast.
also does anyone have any they are looking to get rid of? thanks in advance.

I have some really nice, hearty chaeto that is full of pods and growing nicely. As for the difference, I went with chaeto because it grows fast, scavenges nutrients efficiently, can be thinned easily and doesn't go into harmful phases....

I would be more than happy to pull off a hunk and give it to you to get things going....let me know, I live in Winter Springs / work in Altamonte Springs, so this is easy....

If you have any extra chaeto with some pods I could really use some for my mandarin. He's really skinny right now..Thanks i will pay or give you a frag of something...

I have some chaeto with a ton of pods in it. A frag would do nicely for as much as you want.

yeah! growing fast is a good thing! you want it to grow fast so as to export your phosphates and such!
