I have a 140 gal with a Tess. moray, looking for a fast growing and forgiving macro to brighten up her tank (she tends to eat tank mates) any suggestions, sources?

I have some macro that will work for you. How does $25 shipped sound for you? LMK I will ship you some green hammer+some red gracilaria, pigmy gracilaria, and some red fauchea. If that don't briten up the tank nothing will

Um, can I ask how much light you have on the tank? This, more than anything I think, will tell you whether or not what you've got will keep the macro going. In a predator tank (do you have LR?) you should have plenty of nitrates to keep macro growing pretty well, as well as phosphates I imagine from her wastes. If you've got enough light to keep LR going you should be good with macro.

For suggestions.. probably some of the Caulerpas, as you'd be hard pressed to starve them of nutrients in that kind of tank I would think. Especially if you thin them every few weeks. Chaetomorpha gets a lot of press, but isnt too pretty, and there are some complaints about it becoming a detritus magnet. Caulerpa prolifera is common, start with that and see if you have some luck with your lighting and such. Then I'd venture out into the red macro's (like Gracilaria) for some color in the tank and leaf shape variation.. just for some visual appeal.

For sources, there is a stickied thread in this forum, I've had luck with Gulf Coast, everyone has a favorite. There's a tess. moray in one of my LFS's that I'd completely take home if I could handle a tank that big. I'm sure you'rs is gorgeous. ;)
