Awesome pictures. Some critique if i may add. These are just my opinion.

Rule of 3rds. Try applying it to these pics.
The frames are a little distracting and take away from the beauty of the image itself. Try selecting colors which are a little more neutral.
The font size of the text within the frames are too large and just barely fit in the frame. I'd suggest using a small font and don't put it so close to the borders.
Also when you crop or frame your photos don't crop/frame so close to the subject.
Lastly, be careful of what else you include in the photo. For example, in the 3rd photo that mushroom in the foreground is a little distracting. The same with the datestamp in the corner. Crop those out.

Aside from that, the hard part has been done which is capturing a nice sharp photo. Good work! Looking forward to seeing more.

tpal cool photos- thanks for sharing.
I have to ditto MrSandman's thoughts- especially the last part about getting a sharp image! imo your composition is good except for the last one- the rule of 3rds is helpful for many subjects- but centering your subject can be very effective if done correctly.

I also love to take photos but my knowledge only extends to point and shoot so forgive me but what does "Macro" mean?

Agreed on the rule of third thing especilayy for 1st picture. Centering your subject can also have a nice impact but I believe in the case of this sun coral that grows up at an angle putting it in the left lower third would give it space to grow into.
your picture are great I really like the colour and lighting, would have loved a bit sharper images as these are a bit soft, and I guess you have reached hte limits of the camera yo uare using. One las thing I wouuld clean out the tiny white dots in the last pic and clone out that coral shoing from RT lower corner as well as clean the rock on its left from that alga on it.
fantastic work with the camera you're using.

ok this is off topic...but what IS in the third pic????!!! I mean yes, I can see it, but what kind of coral is it. I got one as a hitch hiker and have never had one accurately identified. I would simply like ot get teh ID of the coral.

thanks

Oh and great shots.

nice tpal- good cropping there. maroun c had a great tip with the clone stamping- if you are using photoshop then its easy to take care of the random lens spots or algae with the clone tool - zoom in to a few hundred percent and it makes cloning easier imo. if you are using ps then doing some levels adjustments will help balance out your colors to bring out the greens in the above polyp for ex.

One thing I forgot to mention is that you could make use of unsharp mask to make your shots a bit sharper.
I usually tend to keep it around 150-1-10 for the original size pic. for web sized ones that could be a lot so then I would divide the first two values by half and modify accordingly or maybe do it on a layer copy and play with opacity.
