macroalgae dying in fuge good or bad?

I use to have an algae outbreak a couple months ago; therefore, I installed an phos reactor and a refuge with cheato. Algae is now long gone, but the cheato in the fuge is starting to get light green and white on some parts? My sps looks better than what it was before. do dose salifert amino acids for the corals every week and do have several fish I feed once daily. Should I be concerned about the low nutrients and almost no phosphates?

If your running that clean, you might want to cut off the phos reactor or pull the cheato. Dead cheato is not good for your sps. It will revert and release toxins back into your aquarium.

Is it really that serious? toxins? I noticed lately that the protein skimmer been pulling out more gunk probably due to die off. hmm...anyone else on inputs???

I found if you use a little iron weekly the chaeto will grow great in a very low nutrient system.
