Macroalgae Tank

Recently just converted my tank to a macroalgae tank...
Gotten some macroalgae over the weekend and just finished planting them...

Tank Specs

Main Tank - 24" x 18" x 18"
Sump - 18" x 10" x 9"
2nd Sump - 12" x 7" x 9"
Skimmer - Reef Octopus DNW 150.600 with 1200 ltr/hr feeding pump
Return pump - Quietone 1200
Circulation Pump - 2 x 1500 ltr/hr
Lighting - 70w MH
Cooling - 4 x CPU Fans
Media - Sorb04 and Carbon

Sadly I think my macro algae are going asexual :rolleyes:

Can someone show pics of them asexual?

Normally they will turn white, other than that, I don't think they will have any other signs...

Very cool looking tank. It needs some seahorses and pipefish now :)

Will be getting in some pipefish first, seahorses will have to wait till I have the time to train them...
 
I think it is cool to do something like this. A lot of macro algae is so pretty and interesting to look at.
 
Nice tank and coloration. I want to add some red algae for coloration in my DT too. I currently have only chaeto and caluerpa taxifolica. My friend's 29 gallon has caluerpa taxifolica like yours running across the top 2/3 of his tank. When the powerhead hit's them, they sway like grass in the wind. SWEET!!
 
Yea... It is nice to see them sway...
But sadly my taxifolia are turning sexual, might have to trim some of them if the condition does not improve... Have to wait for them to grow again...
Currently switched on my skimmer to deal with the spores floating around... Hopefully will skim some of them out...
