Macroalgae?

What is the best way to get rid of Macroalgae? I cleaned my tank today and clipped back most of it. Do I need to get rid of it or is it ok to keep some of it for biological purposes?

Thanks

It aids in the removal of nitrates from your system, however, I personally would not keep caulerpa in my system. It is one of the macroalgae's that can go sexual and release a bunch of toxins in your water. I don't know the whole science behind it, but I stick to chaeto to be safe.

Depending on the size of the tank, a fox face or tang will do the trick post haste. :)
The foxface/rabbit fish will do the trick, the only problem would be the foxface going after lps or clams, that's what mine did, I put it in the sump and like in 2 weeks ate of the cheato.

I must have got lucky with my fox face. I have 2 clams and lots of LPS's. I keep a ball of chaeto on a clip and feed 2x a day. I have never seen him go after any of my coral or clams.
