Macropharyngodon chaoti wrasse

I knew you were an underwater photo hound, but not to that extent! Cool site, thanks for sharing.

thanks for the kind words. I used to that a lot but no longer with the difficulties of transporting 180 lbs of gear through foreign airports.

By difficulties your refering to security?

If so, too bad to hear the modern world is keeping people like yourself from being able to take photos of the animals in it. Hopefully the oceans will be around in their current state for many years.

Yes, security, but not the TSA kind. The places I used to frequently travel were somewhat iffy to begin with: civil wars, violence, and more. Now, the climate in many of those places is scary, at least to me.

My diving and photographic gear was problematical before airline security tightened up, now it is simply not worth it.

The spelling hurts my eyes!! :) It's Macropharyngodon choati not *chaoti*, named in honor of professor Howard Choat, from James Cook University in Australia, a good friend of mine and one of the most brilliant coral reef fish ecologists alive.

As far as aquarium maintenance, I have nothing to add :) I saw a few in the wild but never kept one. Pretty little fish.

Day 3

Day 3

Out and about at 8:25 or so. Eating well. Again, robust and showing interest in my female.

Sorry about the misspelling; my eyes occasionally don't see what I type properly. However in this case, I actually copied it from an email and did not check it.

Haha, no worries, I only gave you a hard time because I know (and admire a lot) Howard Choat.

Please keep us updated, with some photos! :)
