Macros

Okay, I have a bunch of different macros in one tank (because I like macros). I have the branchy gracilaria, the string like red macro (ogo?), codium, green lettuce, feather caleurpa, and chaeto. (I think I spelled most correctly.)

Will they all thrive in the same tank or do they have different temperature, SG, and lighting requirement? The feather caleurpa is the only one I have to worry about going asexual right?

Right now the tank is a 10g at 78-80F (temps here are hot and heater is off), 1 flourecent light (not sure on bulb spec, but recommend any you think is good and I could change out the bulb). SG is at 1.020.

Does anyone know a site that goes indepth about the optimal care of each macro? Can any live in brackish?

From my research, ulva (green lettuce, I think) prefers cooler temps (than our tanks), high current (in nautre found on rocks near shoreline around England/Ireland) and high light. I have had it growing in a 10 gallon tank (started in a goldfish bowl) on my windowsill in 1.020 water (I use the same water as I grow phyto in). In the goldfish bowl, I used an airline to keep the water circulating. In the tank, I may have to use a powerhead or circulation pump to get the water moving enough. I feed Macro Algae Grow (from http://www.florida-aqua-farms.com/ ). I have added gracilaria (tang heaven) recently and it looks like it is growing as well.

Most alage like bright lights so if you are using NO flo, I would upgrade. Some people have had great success using their old MH bulbs from their reef tank. You don't have to go that bright if you don't want to but remember - the brighter the better/more growth.

I have been unable to find a good site that covers, in depth the various macros. I usually end up doing a google search and going from there.
