Well I went and did the unthinkable.......
Finally got a stand for my 93 cube and I see this when filling it.......... Smh

I don't remember bumping it on anything at all....... Neither can I prove it was cracked when I bought it........

I got it about 35 gallons in before I seen the crack.......
It wasn't leaking so I thought I'd try to put silicone on it but after talking with a few others I decided not to risk it as the loss could end up being much greater than just the tank...........

That stinks! Call the corner reef. I saw a cube there not too long ago. They may give you a good deal if you tell them what happened...

Dude! I'm really sorry to hear about your aquarium:( Good you found it now though.

Ain't that the truth..... I'd been sicker if I didn't see it till after breaking down my Nano.......
Or even worse, be away from home and I get a call saying water was leaking into the apartment downstairs........

I'm kind of a cheapskate, but I'd pull it apart, spin that piece of glass so the crack is at the top on the rear corner and seal it back up. I've done it with a tank of my own.

I actually was thinking if it was in the overflow corner I'd roll with the silicone........

But your idea incorporated together would work great..........

Sorry I see you did say the rear which is the overflow....... Water doesn't even reach that level back there........

GREAT IDEA.........

Dude, same thing happened with my first 93 cube! Luckily my LFS is awesome and he replaced it for me, no charge!!

lol Yeah, I was crushed when I saw that crack, figured I was done before I ever really even got started!

Did you buy yours with the factory stand?????

Yup, sure did. But never even got that far. I got the tank home, and it sat in my garage overnight. I went to unbox it and get it inside on the stand and that's when I noticed the crack.

Bummer man. This is why we all need to be Overly cautious with our tanks. It's uncertain what could cause a leak two years from the time it got bumped when setting it on the ground corner first, because you moved a tank by yourself. I had a tank leak at a bottom seal after 3 years of it being fine and in the same spot. These things need to be treated like baby's when moving. ESPECIALLY when it's hard to find a replacement tank. I have a 48 gallon bowfront tank by AGA in MAPEL trim. I have a matching maple stand. Looks super sharp ;)

But before I moved 5 years ago, it sprung a leak at a seal and dripped slowly. good thing it did before I tore it down and stored it because now I wouldn't be able to find another like it. The discontinued the trim color. I purchased a new one , knowing id wasn't to set it up again eventually.
