I am setting up a tank at my office and want to mix all the water in the basement and then pump it up to the display and sump. I want this for water changes as well.

I am right at 17' to the top of the tank and the water is stopped in the clear tubbing just below the rim:-(

This pump will only be used every two weeks for water changes so what do you suggest for this height and with good gph?

Thanks!

17ft head is a bit of pressure..... Does it need to be internal?

You could always add a second pump inline so the pumps would be in series

If internal possibly one of the larger mag pumps

Numerous external pumps would work. Iwaki 55/70/100

I do have another mag 18. I thought about doing that. Maybe I will! Thanks!!

The mag 18 needs 1-1/2" plumbing to get the full gph at any head. It might make it if your not using the right size plumbing.

According to the manufacturer, the mag 18 is not rated to pump over that many feet. You need a pressure rated pump.
