MAG 7 help

I have a Mag 7 in a closed loop, but it chatters and spits and spudders. I originally had the closed loop PVC all made in 1". I thought that was the cause ....not. I switched it all to 3/4" PVC and still chatters. If I put mu fingers over the intake side of the CL the chattering stops, but ofcourse I am ristricting the pump doing that. Any ideas......is my pump shot?

Sounds like the impellar may be loose. I would take it apart and check the clearances around the impellar and hte impellar itself.

loose.....is it suppose to snap into place? I took the face off today and the impeller looks ok....I just dropped it back in the hole and put it back together. Should it just drop into the hole?
