Mag chemical warfare?

On sunday I added a second mag to my tank and since then my already established mag has not opened up to his usual size and hasn't been looking as good as normal while the new mag looks like he is aclimating to the new enviroment pretty well. Is it possible that this is chemical warfare between the two mags? I believe other than bleaching both nems are/were healthy so I don't think it is sickness from the new one spreading to my established one. If anyone has had any similar experiences or thoughts they would be greatly appreciated.

Getting two mags in the same tank often results in warfare. I had a thread a while back where a green based one fought for the best spot all around my tank with an established purple based one. It lasted for about 3 months before they settled down.

I have had long term multiple Magnifica's in a tank without problem, multiple times. I don't have any magnifica at this time.
I do not think that chemical war in the same species exist. When an anemone release toxin that is damaging to its own species in the water, the anemone that get the most damage is itself. Nature is anything but dumb, thus there is no chemical with anemone of its own species.

Bradley, were yours fighting chemicaly? I don't think mine are fighting for the same spot they are both on the same rock but on opposite ends, about a foot or more apart, and staying put.
Minh, do you think it is probable that with the introduction of the new mag my established one did release a toxin like what you described and is hurting its self and do you have any sugestions of what I can do or is it just a waiting and possible separation?

I have had multiple anemones of the same species touching without problem. I do think but certainly don't know for sure that sick anemone are often porous and do not have the membrane integrity thus maybe leak chemical out into the water.
