Mag Float? Do these work?

I have been seeing these on pics of peoples tanks here and there.

Are these worth buying? I never used one before.

I found for coraline your better off with a razor blade or credit card. but any other algae the mags floats work great on.

I love mine, it works great. I've forgotten how I cleaned the glass before I had one. Its definitely worth the price.

Just make sure you get the one for Acrylic/Plastic if you don't have a glass aquarium.

Works very well on flat glass(No Bowfronts), use mine every few days. Weekly I have to scrape more agressively with a scraper. Good to have.

If you use it religiously (every day or every other day) the harder algaes don't have time to cement themselves to the glass. Makes life easier.

It does not remove coraline right?

I am having major algae on my glass and at the same time getting my first spots of coraline?

EDIT: Kraze just saw that...That is great, I want to keep my few dots of coraline!

Another concern....I have a 30 gal and the 30 model was so small?? I bought the next one up, 125. This will not be to strong for the glass will it?

The tiny mag-float is really too tiny. I use the "125g" one on my 55. Has a strong grip but it can chew through newer coraline growths with multiple passes, but a razor is still way faster for that.
