I want to add a show nem to my 155g and was wondering whats everyone's thoughts were on my 3 choices. Its a bare bottom set up. Which would you choose and why? Thanks.

I would like something colorful that hopefully wont wonder too much. I have a rbta that has stayed put since day one luckily.

i voted gig, they have personality and can be gorgeous, and if its bare bottom and BIG gig is the way to go 1 if not a few!!

If you don't have a sand bed the choice of those should be a mag, rock dwellar, providing you have sufficient light and tank params for one.
Not on your list but a BTA would also work, and much more forgiving.
Might also want to think about natural host matches depending on what clowns you plan to keep.

i would vote a purple gig. Mags mostly comes in brown colors and they tends to move alot until they find an ideal place, PITA if you ask me.

I have a bta and 2 occ clowns.

Would a gig be ok in a bare bottom tank? Also if I added a small pile of sand at the base of a rock do you think the chances of it staying put would be better?

You're going to run into a lot of S. Gigantea crazy people on here... me being one of them. S. Gigantea all the way...

So I found 2 really nice carpet nems at a lfs today and bought one. Which one would you have chosen?

LOL i would get them both, no way i am walking out with just 1 especially they both look to be healthy.

if you can only have one i would go for green. purple and blue are common gigantea but green are fewer

btw i see you are from New England state yet you are a fan of the Broncos? traitor ! :D

I hate the Pats lol. I actually picked the green one. Not sure if its a gig or not but they said it was. I actually got it in Mass.

The blue is a Haddoni and the green is a Gigantea. I would take both also, even if I already have a blue Haddoni.
