Mag . Glass Cleaners ?

I have and use both magfloat and Algae free (piranha, Hammerhead Float) I have to admit the Algae free brand does a better job.

The algae free with the blade scraper option is fantastic. It gets in corners, near the sandbed, and leaves the glass perfectly clean. Only complaint is removing the blade each use. It could have been made easier.

I'd recommend one of the best I have ever used. I have a acrylic tank and it works great it's the Mighty Magnet. I use the ALGAE DOZER SCRAPER PADS they are designed to scrape
off hard coralline algae quickly and easily from Acrylic
or Glass Reef Aquariums. Best money I ever spent. :)

So what is it that makes the algea free perform better than a mag float? is it a stronger magnet, does it have a better scrubbing surface?

stronger mag.

also, look for a mag scraper. its a razor that glues to the back of the mag and will scrape the algae and coraline off the glass. (not recommended for acrylic)

one swipe and everything in the way is gone!! makes a crappy mag float clean like a algae free. (i have both)

Cool, I purchased a Large Mag Float with a blade attachment for my new tank, but have not had a chance to use it.

Kind of off topic, but how do you secure the blade holder to the mag float?
