Mag level question

my mag level is 1500 according to my Sera test kit or bit higher.

According to a water parameter chart it's high level of Mg and I was wondering what kind of effect it has and how to lower the Mg in my tank?

My rest of water levels are

Alk 142
Cal 381
Pho 0.16
Ph 8.4

Currently dosing A B 35ml per day divided into 12times using doser.

That level should be fine. It will help you alk and ca balanced and your algae in check.
Let it drop naturally. But too me i like to keep it that way. 1500

I try to keep mine above 1500. Grows coraline algae, keeps nuisance algae down, and news love it.

Is there harm to continuously keeping it that high?

If there is, I haven't seen it in my tank yet. I just kept it that high because the first men I got to stay alive was thriving when I upped my mg above 1500. I've kept it there ever since and that was about 6 years ago. Just my experience. I'm sure there's articles about keeping high mg and the side effects.

By the way, the nem thing might have just been a coincidence but I'm sticking with it haha
