mag or bubble tip?

This just came in as a purple foot, green tentacle mag under the old species name. Thinking about treating and giving it a shot. Any ideas if the id is correct? Tia

That's a BTA. What makes you think it needs treatment? The nem looks fine.

Mouth is gaping, it was open about 2" before I put it on the rock. When fully inflated tentacles are long and straight, slight swelling at tip. No striation at the mouth like most bta. Not doubting, what makes you say bta?

Tentacle form and length, mouth and overall appearance suggest it's a BTA.

Ok thanks, that's a shame. Might get it anyway if it lives and keeps its color. He also has a 4" blue carpet that's calling my name lol. Here's some of the gaping

Why not treat it? It's easy, if you don't want to keep it then treat and find it a new home. No reason to just let it die.

Hobbzz, it sounds like you really want to get this nem, why don't you tell the LFS you'll take it for free if for nothing else but to try and save it. See if they carry Cipro, doubtful but you can order some online and get a rush shipping. Hey it's worth a shot.

I wouldn't say I "really" want it. What I "really" want is an African mag with pink base and yellow/green tentacles but that's a big ask lol.
