I got a mag 12 and a mag 9.5 off another. I have heard and have no proof that they don't work as well as an external pump. I have used the 9.5 internal and no complaints. I am doing a new setup and was going to go external. On the 9.5 to feed return and media reactors. I had thought of using the 12.5 on a closed loop to a 1 inch sea swirl . Anybody got opinions on these pump in these circumstance . Thanks by the way going on a 40 breeder tank with a 30 gallon sump.
