mag question about led

a friend of mine is tearing down his tank and he has a huge red based mag (30"+) he needs to get rid of. tanks are close to the same size same water parameters and pretty close to the same flow my only 2 concerns are
1. he has 3 400 watt metal halides over his tank and i have 4 AI sol whites over mine will my AI be enough light i can place the mag directly under one of the AI if needed
2. this is a softie aggressive tank with eels, groupers, lion, wrasses, tangs and triggers the triggers are my concern i have a picasso and and a niger I have several rock flower nems and a rbta in the tank and they have never bothered them before do you think they will play nice with the mag

thanks

With a nem that size personally I would be less concerned with the triggers messing with the nem and more concerned with the nem eating the triggers, or anything else in the tank. Thats just my opinion though. The lighting could work fine but you will have to acclimate the nem to the light. Many individuals recommend the use of screens as filters and remove one layer every day or two to get the nem adjusted (or just use the dimmers :P)

I have a Mag under 1 AI Sol Blue (at 100% on all channels, 14" above the water) in my 34g Salano for 3+ months and it looks great and it's doing well. I would start your Sol at 40% and then slowly ramp it up.

I am not sure you"ll have to acclimate the nem to the LEDs at all since your coming from 400mh to the sol. They will put off enough light for your nem.
You getting the nem from cagri? I bought his clowns.
