MAGflake in Wisconsin?

FlipFlops24/7

I'd tap that glass
I am looking for MAGflake (magnesium chloride hexahydrate). It is usually sold as a de-icer or for dust control. I was told Home Depot carries it, but the Home Depots in Wisconsin seem to carry another brand which hasn't been checked for impurities.

Has anyone seen MAGflake sold in any stores in Wisconsin?

Thanks

Does anyone even use magflake around here or does everyone buy the expensive magnesium supplements from their LFS?

you can order a large bag online - it will be cheaper than the supplement bottles that you use over 6-months.

For time-to-time bumps in Mg I use epsom salts from the drug store - just a few bucks for a few Kg ...

the ideal situation is to have both epsom salts (Magnesium Sulfate Hexahydrate) and the Mag flake in a ratio to not skew your water chemistry - but you can use only one of them as long as you do weekly to monthly water changes ;)

thanks Scott. Earlier today I placed an order with buckeyefieldsupply. They sell Magflake in 8lb portions, and they accept Pay Pal too!

I'm going to use the Freeze Guard. That is after I do some simple tests to make sure there's nothing obviously wrong with it.

Standard Tar Products in Milwaukee has it. thay are located at
2456 Weast Cornell st. Web www.staderdtar.com.

If anyone would like to pick up a bag for me and bring to the
M.A.R.S. frag swap, it would be great. I know it was not a nice area when I work down there 10+ years ago.

Thanx
