Hi everybody, I'm looking for a magnesium and alkality test. I found this seachem test and it does magnesium and carbonate. Is this carbonate hardness? Has anybody use this test. What do you use. Thanks in advance.

Mar-y-sol I've used a couple of the seachem test kits and in my experience they are not as accurate. So Salifert or nothiung for me, Thats been my experince.

Stick with salifert. Easy to read, reliable, accurate. Their $12 alk test will do 200 low resolution tests (plenty for my needs), so it's quite cheap on a per-test basis. Magnesium costs more, but that's something you test a lot less often.
