Menard: this time, are you SURE it's magnesium??? :)
 ........................No, this time it's the stinkin' mag. chloride................FREEZE GUARD the name on the bag ! :D

Why do I feel like I am being sucked into a vortex of old thread hell?
Ataylo: what you are using is NOT magnesium chloride!

Although, if you are dosing that stuff (which is peladow) regularly, then you sure as heck will want to get your hands on mag. chloride or you are likely to run into problems of chemical imbalance in your tank.

Google-ed it. Everything indicates it's a liquid???
Joel............. this one is crystals salt.
I never use this stuff. So, like U said test before using.
I dont like mixing stuff like a chemist.
Thats why I love DOLOMITE, set my target range and I'm done I never have to touch that reactor until the media runs out. Easy and effective............Cheers!!:D

I think he saw it and is passing the information on. If anyone needs 50lbs bags of Calcium Chloride (Prestone Heat) I saw it at the Homedepot at Glendale Heights while I was shopping there for $16.

Well, Dr. Villaber, tell me then, why the heck did you buy the stuff???
Bro..........I never mention that I bought this stuff............. just happens at HD ( my toy store ) and remember fellow reefer looking for this stuff....... Hey! happy to help in any way.:D ................................Peace

Gocha Doc!

Anyone buying the stuff, test it out before adding to the tank!

Advice from someone deep in another thread was to mix, let junk settle to the bottom, and siphon out the clear mixture that remains. Seems a PITA to me. Get the Mag Flake!
