Magnesium flake substitute...

I'm not good at interpreting international currency, but if I had to guess, that is a bit more than a pound of mag chloride (500g) for about the same price you can get a small bucket of mag chloride flakes.


Now, I don't know what your options are in Australia. I doubt you guys have a lot of driveway de-icer Mag flake unless you live in the extreme south.

I think I will just use epsom salt with more water changes.
I do live in the deep south, but it has never snowed here since Adelaide was settled in 1836! So I don't think much hardware stores would be selling snow melting flakes and the postage from BulkReefSupply is almost $70!
