my tank has been running for 8 months now my cal is 480ppm my ph is 8.3 but my kh is 6 trying to rise it to 9 baking soda.reef builderit just does not move.should i be worryed about this.now someone told me to ck magnesium levels my coarls are doing great i dont know if i should mess with it.what do you think thanks jeremy

I think you are able to reach 480ppm on Ca because your kH is low. If you try to increase kH, Ca will drop or if you run a Ca eactor, kH won't rise. I'd say test Mg too.

I persoanlly think another source of Mg depletion is the growth of macro algae, since Mg is required to systhsize chlorophyll.
